We aim to keep classes small so that we may cater to individual attention, supporting you in the discipline you have decided to learn.
The Pilates method is a unique system of stretching and strengthening exercises developed over ninety years ago by Joseph H. Pilates.
Pilates based exercises aim to correct postural defects and improve fitness in your whole body.
We cater for all levels:
- Beginners & Improvers: Suitable for beginers and people who are recovering from injuries, pregnancy or have limited mobility.
- Improvers & Intermediate: This class will give you the opportunity to push your limits safetly and develop strength.
- Intermediate & Advanced: These classes deliver a challenging flow and are more geared towards the more experienced practioner.
- Mixed: Aimed at delivering content specific to each practioner to work at their own level of ability.
If you are completely new to the method you will need to follow a beginners course or to have 1 hour (£47) One to One course to learn the basic principles.
A top to toe body workout that combines fitness and Pilates method. Using simple props like elastic bands, foam rollers, overballs, we will transform familiar exercises and stretching in to something new and challenging.
PILATES ON THE BALL
Putting your gravity-bound body against a mobile ball requires balance, and balancing recruits many of the body's deep stabilising muscles (like the pelvic floor muscles). Exercising these muscles can prevent the most common injuries of the back, knee or shoulder.
A mixed level Pilates matwork class suitable for intermediate students.
The class covers 50 minutes of Pilates exercise followed by a 10 minutes relaxation period with music.
Aimed at enhancing physical posture, anatomical alignment whilst utilising props, this class is suitable for all levels.
It will improve balance, strength and flexibility and is excellent for stress relief and relaxation.
ONE TO ONE (Appointment Only)
This appointment is about you, establishing clear goals and exercises tailored to your needs, we will work together to rectify injuries, promote strength and enhance confidence.
PILATES FOR POSTURE
Focusing on deep core conditioning this course aims to enhance your posture, flexibility, shoulder and hip stability.
This class gives you the essential Pilates foundations to enable you to progress safely and effectively at your own pace.
