About: Stefania is a former professional dancer and dance teacher.
She studied ballet for twelve years, then specialised in Latin and Caribbean dances and later in Hip Hop/street dance.
In 2000 she decided to move to England and start a new career in the Fitness industry.
In 2001 she gains her Exercise to Music Qualification with the YMCA (While working for the Central YMCA as hip hop teacher). She completed her first Pilates qualification with the PILATES INSTITUTE in 2002. She qualified as yoga teacher in 2004 with YOGA WISE.
During the past 10 years she has been working in collaboration with chiropractors and Physiotherapists (Chiros Clinic in Andover and Romsey Chiropractic Clinic in Romsey). It is through this collaboration that she developed an interest in soft tissue manipulation. In 2006 she qualified as sport and remedial massage therapist with the LSSM (London School of Sport Massage).
Stefania is the Founder of Romsey Pilates Studio/ clinic.
About: I am a registered nurse and a registered fitness professional. (REPs R0049075)
I am a level 3 Pilates teacher and I hold a level 4 certificate in Exercise Prescription for Back pain and have an Exercise Referral qualification.
I am also a qualified Breast Cancer Exercise Specialist. I am very fortunate to have extra post graduate training in Advanced Pain Management, and I draw on my nursing experience from working with patients, relatives and multidisciplinary teams in the NHS.
Pilates is a comprehensive and long term method of body and mind conditioning, whether you are an elite athlete, a beginner, have back pain, or if you are recovering from illness, surgery or breast cancer. Whatever your needs, your Pilates class it is a wonderful opportunity to focus on you, on your posture, to stretch and strengthen your whole body, to relax and take some valuable me time!

About: Having been a nurse for over 30 years, Ali is now retraining as a Pilates instructor.
Ali qualified as a Registered General Nurse in 1983, gaining a gold medal for being the top nurse in her year group.
She has cared for people with a range of medical conditions; post-operative patients and patients with cancer. She has worked as a midwife and in a care home for the elderly and for the last 8 years has been a Case Manager in Occupational Health, primarily supporting and assisting members of staff back to work following illness.
In 2010 she gained a diploma in Neuro-linguistic Programming (NLP).
Over the last few years, Ali has realised the importance of empowering and enabling individuals with the ability to assist in maintaining or improving their own health and well being and is fully aware on a personal level how Pilates can do this.
It is for this reason that she has now chosen her new career pathway.
Ali is looking forward to the challenges that this new career will bring and to working with other members of the team at the Romsey Pilates Studio.

Vanessa trained as an Occupational Therapist in 1993 and is currently working with people with learning disabilities in Southampton. Vanessa started her Pilates training with the Australian Physiotherapy Pilates Institute in January 2018. Occupational Therapy focuses on engaging in activities of daily living, and Pilates helps to develop and maintain this engagement.
Sharon is a 200 hrs qualified yoga teacher registered with Yoga Alliance Professionals. Her classes are primarily Hatha and Vinyasa based and are aimed at being accessible and achievable for all levels. Having worked as a psychologist for many years, she is passionate about not only the physical benefits of yoga, but also about what yoga can do for mental well-being and resilience.
